This was the 5x5 task set a few weeks ago. I chose to look at the more urban deteriorated state around us. I favour that subject matter as i prefer to film the grittier, darker side of nature and life.

We were given short clips that Mark had filmed on his DSLR to edit in the style of Martin Scorsese.
Some
were in colour, some were in black and white. I used Scorsese's style
to rearrange the clips to produce a short that showed a drunken man
stumbling through the streets, getting into a fight then walking away.
However, i wanted to portray the fight as imaginary, only happening in
the drunk's head.

I re-edited some shots from Lars And The Real Girl featuring Ryan Gosling to create a trailer.
I included the text on screen and the audio, although the levels were hard to reconfigure, its my best shot.
The track that plays over the footage is The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
I chose this track as it has an indie, awkward, naivety to it that I believe suits Gosling's character and his story very well.
